Cold Rolled Maintenance Building for the Welsh FA in Wrexham
We were approached by a representative of the Football Association of Wales to see if we’d be interested in being part of a development in Wrexham, creating a new training facility for the senior national team. The Welsh FA asked us to keep the project quiet until everything had been approved and announced in the press.
We designed and supplied a cold rolled mono pitch building split into two sections. One side stores all of the green keepers’ equipment and the other is a workshop.
The Building
The building is 22.82m long by 7m wide with 3m eaves, clad in 32/1000 single skin sheeting in Juniper Green. Single skin is the economical choice for equipment storage and works well where the building doesn’t need to be heated. A mono pitch roof keeps the building low and simple, and the dark green finish keeps it low-key.
