Extension installed to existing unit in Leeds
We designed and installed a bespoke cold rolled steel extension for our clients DAS Engineering Ltd situated in Leeds to maximise the external space available.

We recently completed a bespoke project involving the supply and installation of a cold rolled portal steel extension on unused land adjacent to a client’s existing building. The goal was to maximise the site’s potential by creating additional space while maintaining a seamless integration with the current structure.
This extension was designed to blend both functionally and aesthetically with the existing building, ensuring continuity and a unified appearance. By using a cold rolled steel frame, we were able to provide a lightweight yet incredibly strong structure, ideal for quick installation and longterm durability.
One of the key challenges we overcame during this project was the presence of a gas pipe running through the proposed concrete slab. This required careful planning and coordination.
Our team liaised directly with the gas network authority to ensure that all works adhered to the correct safety procedures and legal requirements.
The pipe’s location was accurately identified and protected throughout the installation process, with all precautions taken to avoid disruption or risk.
Thanks to our team’s expertise in project management, steel fabrication, and regulatory compliance, we delivered a safe, efficient, and high quality building solution turning unused land into valuable operational space.
