Whether you need space for material and equipment storage or somewhere to actually manufacture your products, our industrial steel buildings are built to do the job properly.
Our cold rolled steel is manufactured in the UK by trusted suppliers, and every part of the design can be customised to your project, from the groundwork up.
An industrial unit only works if it’s designed around what actually happens inside it, not fitted out afterwards to make do. We work through the operational detail with you at the design stage, so the building matches the process, not the other way round.
We provide free general arrangement drawings and structural calculations as standard, so you can see exactly what’s being built and get it through Building Control before anything is ordered. Our own in-house team of engineers carries the design through to installation, rather than handing it off to a different contractor partway through the project.
Our industrial steel buildings are suitable for: wastewater sites, aircraft hangars, generator and utility buildings, and distribution, storage and shipping facilities. Each brings its own demands, wastewater sites often need a structure that can cope with a corrosive atmosphere and regular heavy plant access, aircraft hangars usually call for wide clear-span openings without internal columns getting in the way, generator and utility buildings tend to be smaller but need specific ventilation and access arrangements, and distribution, storage and shipping facilities are generally built around loading bay position and vehicle movement above almost everything else.
We’ve delivered switch room buildings on the Teesworks site in Redcar, you can read about that project in our news article on the Teesworks switch rooms, and you’ll find more examples of completed industrial work in our case studies.
Industrial sites often come with their own induction and compliance requirements before anyone’s allowed to start work, and we’re set up for that as a matter of course, not as a scramble before a job starts. We’re SafeContractor approved, a member of RIBDA, and work with FASET approved scaffolders and safety riggers, and every steel frame we supply is CE-marked. If your site needs Risk Assessments, Method Statements or a Construction Phase Plan before work can begin, that’s already part of how we operate.
Wastewater sites, aircraft hangars and heavy distribution facilities all put different demands on the ground beneath the building, not just the structure above it. Our construction groundwork and civil engineering services cover foundation design, drainage analysis and piling requirements, so the base is right for what the building actually needs to carry, whether that’s heavy plant traffic, a corrosive environment or constant vehicle movement.
